I made it to breakfast with the kids this morning. We’ve five more days of creche and then roll on 9 months of mummy time. Dear jesus. Time to re-set my 24 hour feeding frenzy clock and get a week of normal rising under my belt before regime-change kicks in. Just to show that it’s kids – not parents, who decide who is ready for toilet training – and when! The last time we set the alarm clock it was about two Summers ago when we packed up the car at 4am and drove the four hours to the West of Ireland, safe in the knowledge that we’d at least be in County Laois (at best in County Limerick) before the two grumpy lumps in the back woke up and realised they hated the car!  Since then our reliable early riser has made sure one or other parent is up anytime around 7am when the buzzer…

So the usual mixture of knitting, crochet, making and living means there’s lots going on but not enough time to write about it. And it’s Friday. And my mind is wandering. And already it’s March! I can’t believe my baby girl is just two months shy of 2! I can remember holidays when I actually felt sluggish from too much sleep. Well that and too much food and drink. Eh, not anymore! This year’s holiday was not quite restful but good fun and a welcome getaway from the usual routine. It was also good timing as we’ve literally witnessed a transformation in our wee girl – from a bouncing baby to a little toddler girl – with an extra serving of attitude on the side!
