One of my recent Pinterest sessions was all about cards and paper.  I found a lovely, simple idea by a Montessori teacher for making cards for her class with brightly coloured shapes, stitched onto plain cardstock.
I was due to send out a mixed batch of ‘Thanks’, ‘Birthday’ and ‘Thinking of You’ cards so I happily took this lady’s idea and – using some nice handmade paper with gold threading through it, I used strong gold thread in my machine to stitch a little stack of cut out shapes onto the front.  Ideal for hearts, stars and any symmetrical shapes. Definitely a good idea for some Christmas cards.

p.s. Feel free to check out the lady’s original post is on her lovely Blog, Little Birdie Secrets: http://littlebirdiesecrets.blogspot.ie/2011/02/love-notes-easy-note-cards.html or via my Paper and Stamping Board on Pinterest, http://pinterest.com/thebusymamas/paper-and-stamping/
