Last week amidst a sneaky peak of sunshine, we were treated to a (rather large) helping of the new Greek Style Frozen Yoghurt Lollies from Claudi and Fin.  After, ahem, indulging in a few different test runs over the last few days, here’s the low down from our house.

Claudi and Fin Featured ImageThe Claudi and Fin pops are a healthy and very tasty option for treats for biggies and littelies alike. They come in two flavours – Mango and Strawberry.  The lollies are made with real fruit, whole milk and Greek Style yoghurt.  They provide 30% of an adult’s recommended daily intake of Vitamin D and are a ‘zero nasties’ treat.  For any calorie counters out there, the lollies have just over 50kcal in each so these are a great no-guilt option.

Claudi & Fin Packs

Don’t be put off by all that healthiness! These lollies are absolutely gorgeous, really fruity and just damned nice.  In the interests of food science you understand, we’ve gorged on about two each a day and I can report the following FACTS:

  • the kids adore the strawberry ones and on a day when Woodie was bunged up with an ear infection and would eat little else, he even scoffed a whole one;
  • the mango ones are delicious and seem to be the favourite with the adults.  One taste brought my Dad down memory lane to his first glass of mango juice sitting in the shade in a restaurant in Hanoi (he’ll be chuffed that made it in here!);
  • the funky packaging went down well with the kids but – lets be honest, it’s what’s inside that counts (corny but true);
  • when we get through our freezer load of these beauties, I know I’ll be pestered to buy more.

And on that note, Claudi and Fin Greek Yoghurt Frozen Lollies are available to buy in Supervalu. A 4-pack of 50g pops costs €3.50. We give them big, sticky thumbs up.

Note: I was given samples of the product by Claudi and Fin for review purposes. I was not paid to write this post.  As always, the opinions stated are my own.
