So the usual mixture of knitting, crochet, making and living means there’s lots going on but not enough time to write about it. And it’s Friday. And my mind is wandering. And already it’s March! I can’t believe my baby girl is just two months shy of 2! She’s a real chancer monkey toddler these days so pretty much won’t go in the buggy, insists on wearing pants over her vest and nappy (serious VPL but happy child) and is busy trying to be her big brother’s match in every way. She flips from being a stubborn mule to a very kind…

So my little girl is walking.  She’s motoring along for about a week now and hasn’t looked back.  On Day 2 she gave her Daddy a heart attack by climbing on top of the dining room table, clapping and shouting ‘Baba’. At six in the morning. Her big brother is delighted. I can remember holidays when I actually felt sluggish from too much sleep. Well that and too much food and drink. Eh, not anymore! This year’s holiday was not quite restful but good fun and a welcome getaway from the usual routine. It was also good timing as we’ve literally witnessed a transformation in our wee girl – from a bouncing baby to a little toddler girl – with an extra serving of attitude on the side! In the space of our two week break, Missy Moo changed so much.  She cut 6 more teeth. Decided she wants to only feed…

A post on toilet training our three-year old boy. Last Tuesday, my son – aged three years and one day, announced he didn’t want to nappies anymore. Happy days! We had tried two fairly gentle attempts at toilet training a few months back.  I had read the training books. He had ones with great pictures and even flushing noises! We had a potty and a ladder seat all set up and ready.  I had explained how toilets work.  He recited it back to me. I told him he was a big boy and this was part of growing up. But…
